The short version
We do not sell your data. We do not show you ads. We never will. Our only commercial relationship is with our members. Everything below explains what we collect, why, and what your rights are.
What we collect and why
Account data
When you register, we collect your name and email address. We use this to create and manage your account and to communicate with you about your membership.
Traveller Twin data
The Traveller Twin is your personal travel profile — preferences, pace, mood, travel history, and constraints. This data exists solely to personalise your experience on Ohana. It is never sold, never shared with advertisers, and never used for any purpose other than making your Ohana experience better.
You own your Traveller Twin. You can export it or delete it at any time from your account settings.
Usage data
We collect standard technical data about how you use the platform (pages visited, features used, session duration). We use this to improve the product. This data is anonymised where possible.
Payment data
Subscription payments are processed by a third-party payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment processing.
How long we keep your data
We keep your account and Traveller Twin data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days. Anonymised usage data may be retained for product analytics.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data to anyone. We share data only with the following service providers, strictly to operate the platform:
- Stripe (payment processing)
- Hosting and infrastructure providers
All providers are bound by data processing agreements and may only use your data to provide their services to us.
Your rights under GDPR
As an EU resident you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is consent-based
